2006 was a benchmark year and all three of our young herdsires have will have '07 cria on the ground. Check out our studs who we feel have the excellent phenotype, genotype, show records, and wonderful personalities that we require in breeding males. They have all proven their abilities in the breeding pen, and we can hardly wait to see their offspring. If you wish to book a breeding to one of our herdsires in 2007, we urge you to contact us early. Multiple breeding discounts are available for two or more females on any combination of our herdsires.
At Stonyridge we understand that it is really hard to send your valued females and nursing cria away into another's care. We feel that same concern when we send our girls out, and we want to make sure that your alpacas entrusted to our care receive our utmost attention.
All breedings are individually monitored and carefully recorded. Our breeding fees include 60 days agistment, pregnancy conformation by ultrasound, seven day live cria guarantee, and regular updates on your girl's breeding status. We believe our personalized approach creates a stress free environment with the goal of having your female settled with cria quickly and efficiently.

Xanadu After Hours

We can't be happier with our young herdsire, Xanadu After Hours, co-owned with our good friends at Peaceful Valley Alpacas. Perfect Phenotype and Classic Pedigree describe this stunning young male. He's the perfect combination of elite fleece (Caligula bloodline) and generations of color.
After Hours show record was enviable with 3 times 1st Place and Reserve Champion, 1st Place at 2005 GWAS, 2nd Place at AAA Futurity, and 2nd Place at 2005 AOBA Nationals. In 2006 he garnered a 1st at Alpacapalooza out of a competitive class of 10 black males, then he came home and went to work.
He settled his first female at just 24 months old. His first cria were born in 2007 amd with sixteen cria on the ground in a 50/50 ratio male to female we have a good look at what he is producing. His cria are gorgeous with excellent conformation, type, and presence generally in the color that the dam's pedigree brings to the mating including black, silver, rose, and deep mahagonys.
He is a stunning boy with an amazing temperament. He brings a complete package of conformation, fleece quality, and genetic diversity to Northwest breeders interested in an elite black herdsire. AJ's Chianti
Stud Fee: $2,000
Chianti is an excellent example of Accoyo Victor bloodlines combined with deep colored Chilean genetics. His rich brown fleece displays well defined crimp from tip to skin, excellent density, and a buttery handle as a result of his 16.3 CV.
He is a well proportioned male with excellent size of bone. He excelled in the show ring with his fleece often tipping the scale in his favor when he got to the final cuts. If fleece quality, character, handle and brightness in a rich, deep color is desired in your breeding program, Chianti is a perfect choice.

Neruda's Gatsby

Gatsby represents some of the finest bloodlines that Patagonia has to offer including Neruda, Danko, and Shakleton. He possesses a balanced typey conformation associated with Neruda's offspring with a compact body style, ultrafine fleece and captivating presence. His classic head is defined by a short muzzle, broad jaw, and spear shaped ears perfectly framing his abundant top knot.
If adding fineness and classic phenotype is the goal for your girls, Gatsby is the perfect choice. He has consistently placed well in fleece and conformation shows including perfect scores in spin-off saying much about the handle of his fleece.
His first cria arrived in 2007, a black out of a dark fawn female, a light brown out of a dark fawn female, and a light fawn out of dark fawn out of white. All three have his typey good looks, fine dense fleece, and lovely presence. His breeding schedule is limited, so if his attributes complement your female consider reserving space in his breeding schedule.
