Xanadu After Hours
Stud Fee: $1,500
We've had our eyes on this young male since we first saw him at four months old. Great animals often stand out from the start, and he certainly captured our attention. Co-owned with our good friends at Peaceful Valley Alpacas, After Hours is exactly the combination of phenotype and pedigree that we were looking for in a stud male. He has intense color genetics. His mom is a pewter silver color and all 4 of her grandparents were silver, too.His sire, Xanadu 'Round Midnight, is a 4 X Color Champion, chocolate brown from Presidio (Caligula son) and a maroon mom whose parents were both silver grey. He's the perfect combination of elite Peruvian fleece and generations of color. Mom, Concepcion, is a gorgeous "pewter grey" female with ultrafine fleece at 5 years of age, who has produced four blue-ribbon/Champion offspring from four different herdsires.
After Hours juvenile show record was enviable with 3 times 1st Place and Reserve Champion, 1st Place at 2005 GWAS, 2nd Place at AAA Futurity, and 2nd Place at 2005 AOBA Nationals. He is a stunning boy with an amazing temperament. He brings a complete package of conformation, fleece quality, and genetic diversity to breeders interested in an elite black herdsire.
His first sixteen cria are on the ground, and we couldn't be happier with the consistent quality, type, conformation, and temperaments of his kids. He is routinely producing black or grey when bred to females with strong black and grey pedigrees. With fawns, and browns he is producing offspring in those same colors. Color genetics are often surprising, but one thing we can say is that his kids are stunning, and we anxiously wait to see how these kids mature.

AJ's Chianti
Stud Fee: $1,000
We have added a beautiful young male to our herd, co-owned with Pete and Kelly Campa of Campaca Trading Company, and we will be watching his growing development. He is AJ's Chianti, a medium brown male raised by Alpaca Alliance. He is sired by Peruvian Da Vinci, a full Peruvian Accoyo Victor son. Da Vinci has just begun his breeding career, and his cria are consistently exhibiting his exceptional crimp, density, handle, and a blinding brightness often found only in elite white fleeces. What makes it such a notable trait is that he is producing these characteristics in dark fleeces when bred to dark females. Da Vinci has produced 3 browns, and two blacks when bred to brown and black dams.
Chianti is one of those offspring. In addition, his dam is Elizabeth Arden who has the enviable record of producing eight cria in multiple colors including rose grey, medium brown, dark fawn, and true black most of which were first and second place winners at national and regional AOBA shows.
Add to this stellar pedigree Chianti's first year histogram of 19.0/ 4.2/ 22.1 with an 80mm staple length, Da Vinci's signature brightness, and high frequency crimp. With Chianti's typey conformation and exceptional temperament we believe he has much to offer.
